Slam Book

Filed under: Personal — Tags: — RaJaGaNaPaThY @ 3:45 pm

Hi all this time I am going to discuss about SLAM BOOK culture which is very familiar in all schools and colleges. Actually in slam books all are suppose to write truth but most of them not doing that, all are trying to tell stories and lying about the person whom they are writing. Actually in my class this is happening I don’t know about others and all but I think this is the case in all de areas.

Coming to point in this slam writing some peoples are jus copying the same sentences from others for example I saw one slam book in that more than 10 of my class mates started like this “I am very happy to pen down in your slam book”. And one of my mate mentioned about their friendship as follows “ I know about your friendship with x, y, especially z” then the next line is “HATS OFF TO YOU” I want to know why this hats off to him? Is that very difficult to maintain friendship with that x, y, z . So ultimately that x, y , z were teased there,  then the next line “May this friendship continues generation to generation” how is this possible? PAP lolz. Then I have to mention about that fabulous final touch in that slam here comes that piece “Be a good husband for your wife “ then the next line “I know you will” see all the above crap are written by a girl to a boy so if u read that final touch you obviously will raise a question that how she knows?  So like this many crap are happening in slam books .
Slam is to write truly about the persons character, his style his comical scence, his scence of humour and so on but all should be true may be some extra build ups is acceptable but not like the one I mentioned above.

  1. “May this friendship continues generation to generation” – Well, its quite possible da! Why not? I am friends with the sons and daughters of my mother’s classmates. That too with all the recent trends of socializing and stuff, its quite possible! If not for next gen, lets keep connected atleast!

  3. Well….I see no point in writing slam books. Hence I didn’t write any. If maintaining contact is the only idea of writing a slam book, I can be contacted via email anytime. Not to mention orkut, linkedin, twitter and so on.

Moreover, you can’t write about a person you don’t know enough about!

  5. At this point, I might suggest no one asked Prashanth to write one for them, but I’ll give it a miss. Strike it out!
    I didn’t say it!
